About Us
History of the NSW Malleefowl Recovery Group
The New South Wales Malleefowl Recovery Group (NSWMRG) is a non for profit organisation that was formed in 2020 to align with Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia. The group assists the National Malleefowl Recovery Team (NMRT) monitor the health of Malleefowl populations across Australia.
Our organisation is a group of dedicated volunteers committed to raising awareness of Malleefowl and the preservation of this amazing and endangered bird.
Our Mission
The aim of the organisation is to conserve Malleefowl populations in NSW through annual monitoring, re-introduction and adaptive management experiments. This is made possible by the efforts of our dedicated volunteers and support from our partners.
